Short assignment: Editor/reporter for a publication on gender equality projects in Belarus The assignment begins tentatively in early October and will be completed by the 15th of November 2021. Description of the assignment During the last eight years, the organization MÄN has involved men in gender equality groups through conversations about equal parenting, norms and through anonymous counseling activities. This is the final year of this project and there is a lot of experience and lessons to be learned. We are now looking for a skilful reporter who can gather strong stories for a publication consisting of interviews and quotes from Father group facilitators, project managers, and participants regarding their personal experiences. The purpose is to clarify what the organization has done and contributed to locally in an easy, comprehensive way. Task assignment Deliver a finished product of approximately 25 000 charactersincluded blanks, consisting of two versions: in English and Russian. As a journalist, you are responsible for planning and conducting interviews, compiling material, and editing the content of the text. We are aware that there is a shortage of time. Therefore you will have ongoing contact with, report to, and collaborate with communications managers and experts at MÄN, especially regarding quality assurance of content, text editing, and layout. Deadline: November 15, 2021. Your qualifications We are looking for someone with an education in journalism with experience of similar assignments. To succeed, you need to be a responsible writer that collaborates with others with ease. You can speak and write fluently in Russian and English and has a good understanding of the context in Belarus. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of masculinity norms. Framework fee 75 000 SEK excluding VAT, which needs to be invoiced no later than 31 December 2021.
